Shelter Animals Count, the national database for animal sheltering statistics, is partnering with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, a leading partner in animal welfare, to launch our Data Foundations Series, aimed at empowering animal welfare organizations with essential data knowledge and tools. This collaborative series is a collection of educational blogs and webinars covering critical topics like animal welfare terminology, data standardization, and key metrics in sheltering.

 

The series will culminate with the release of the Data Basics Workbook at the end of the year, a comprehensive resource designed to help shelters and rescues implement data-driven strategies effectively. This workbook will include a glossary of essential terms and guidance on data standardization, making it an invaluable asset for animal welfare professionals at all levels.
