Maddie Corey

Maddie Corey joined Shelter Animals Count in October 2023 as the Shelter Engagement and Outreach Coordinator. Maddie received her bachelor’s degree in business administration (with an emphasis in marketing) from Boise State University to work with non-profit organizations.

Maddie is a life-long animal lover and took her first significant step in the animal welfare sector in 2021 when she began working as the Fundraising and Outreach Coordinator at Simply Cats Adoption Center in Boise, Idaho. Her time at Simply Cats opened her eyes to the profound challenges faced by animal rescues and shelters. Witnessing the strain on shelter resources firsthand led Maddie to Shelter Animals Count. Her goal is to work closely with animal welfare organizations and help them streamline their processes and provide invaluable support to shelter employees, so they can focus on helping homeless pets in need.

Maddie resides in Las Vegas, NV with her cat, Boots. She spends her free time reading, practicing the aerial arts, and hanging out with her family.
