Kitten-Level Data: Shelter Animals Count with Hill’s Pet Nutrition

(June 17, 2021) ‐‐ Shelter Animals Count (SAC) is delighted to announce Stephanie Filer as our new Executive Director.Ms. Filer brings more than 16 years of non-profit leadership and development experience to the SAC team after serving, since 2010, as Director of Development and Communications at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, the state’s largest animal shelter. During this time, she led the fundraising, marketing, adoption, volunteer, and retail teams to achieve record results and global reach for an organization that serves more than 11,000 sheltered animals, plus thousands more animals and their families in the community.
Shelter Animals Count launched The National Database in 2014. It is the trusted source for collecting and sharing credible and accessible data to positively impact animals and communities.
Ms. Filer shares our passion for data and its ability to develop programs that have meaningful community impact. She brings a wealth of shelter operations and marketing experience to expand The National Database and support data contributors and users.

Ms. Filer is a sought-after presenter for both animal welfare and non-profit management conferences across the country due to her reputation as an accomplished public relations and fundraising leader. She has received Forty Under 40 recognition, among other local and national awards. Ms. Filer will begin her new role on August 2, 2021.
