February is spay and neuter awareness month. Temma Martin shares the following tips to find low-cost spay/neuter services:
- Call around, but don’t give up. The price range could be $100 to $1,000!
- Call as soon as possible to get an appointment. There could be a wait of weeks or months. There are too many puppies and kittens now, when it’s usually the slow season during the winter.
- Call your local shelter for recommendations.
