In 2023, July 5 was the 3rd highest stray intake day for shelters

THE DATA IS IN: Last year, more pets were lost over Memorial Day than during July 4th celebrations. However, the upcoming 4th of July holiday usually does result in an increase of lost pets, making it the third top stray intake day of the year.

Top Stray Intake Days in 2023:

#1: May 30th (day after Memorial Day)
#2: June 6th (8 days after Memorial Day)
#3: July 5th (day after Independence Day)
