Don’t forget to sign up for CCP’s second annual Online Fundraising Day (Saturday, October 16, 2021) and for a new event, Online Diversity Day (Sunday, October 17, 2021). The cost to register is just $25 per day. Online Fundraising Day will feature tips and tricks on how you can raise money for your organization, and Online Diversity Day will explore a variety of areas where we can improve diversity in animal welfare. We’ll dive into topics like diverse types of organizations, how to deal with issues specific to rural areas (and how they differ from urban areas), and much more!
Do you ear tip cats as part of a trap-neuter-return (TNR) program? If so, the Association of Shelter Veterinarians invites you to participate in a research study about common ear tipping methods. Participation is completely voluntary. Take the survey here. Note, the survey will close on October 19.
Shelter Animals Count, The National Database of animal sheltering statistics, released its latest report analyzing data for the first halves of the last three years (2019, 2020, and 2021). This report provides clues as to whether 2021 numbers are following a predictable trend, or if things are still abnormal due to special market behavior. See the full report here.

The Ohio Community Cat Summit will be held online this Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hosted by Ohio Animal Advocates and the Together Initiative for Ohio’s Community Cats, this free virtual summit will feature presentations on using data to make an evidence-based case for TNR, constructing robust municipal partnerships for community cat management, and more.
